Apaluma Secures $5.55 Million Seed Funding to Enhance Government Data Platform

Apaluma, a technology firm focused on consolidating disparate government regulatory records, announced on July 21, 2026, that it has raised $5.55 million in seed funding. The investment round was led by Crosslink Capital and Kickstart, with participation from Haven Ventures and Overwater Ventures, alongside Orange DAO and NM Vintage Fund.

The company's platform aims to transform scattered government data, often stored in incompatible formats like PDFs and scanned documents, into a cohesive and searchable digital ecosystem. Apaluma's technology is designed to make regulatory information, including permits, environmental records, and compliance data, accessible and actionable for government analysts, scientists, and regulators.

According to Apaluma founder and CEO Alicia J. Keyes, the unified system streamlines agency operations, expedites processes such as permitting and Freedom of Information Act requests, and provides a clearer operational picture for regulatory bodies. The platform is built to manage the entire regulatory lifecycle, from initial filings to enforcement actions.

Investors highlighted the company's unique position to address this data fragmentation. Gabby Contro of Crosslink Capital noted that Keyes' prior experience in economic development provided critical insight into the challenges faced by regulators and businesses dealing with complex, siloed information. Apaluma plans to use the new capital to scale its operations and further develop its unified data solutions for government agencies.
