Apex Legends partners with Street Fighter

The video game Apex Legends is introducing a collaboration with the Street Fighter franchise. New character and weapon skins, along with a unique game mode, are scheduled for release on September 22.

Respawn Entertainment's popular battle royale title, Apex Legends, has announced a crossover event with Capcom's iconic fighting game series, Street Fighter. The collaboration, set to launch on September 22, will introduce a range of themed content for players.

The update will feature eight "iconic" character skins, inspired by classic Street Fighter characters such as Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, and Akuma. Additionally, eight weapon skins will be available, covering popular firearms within Apex Legends.

Players can also expect new cosmetic items, including two distinct jumping animations, one of which is named after the "Tatsumaki" kick. The update further includes new holo-sprays, stickers featuring Street Fighter characters, badges, and trackers.

A significant addition is the new "Apex KO" fighting mode. In this mode, traditional firearms are replaced by melee combat and signature fighting techniques from Street Fighter. Players will gather energy on the map to enter a "fighter mode," which provides new tactical abilities, ultimate skills, movement options, and a third-person combat perspective.
