Apple addresses screen defects in iPhone Duo handsets
Apple has confirmed it is investigating reports of display failures on a limited number of iPhone Duo devices.

Apple confirmed it is addressing reports regarding display cracks on its iPhone Duo handsets. The company acknowledged that a subset of units exhibits a defect where the inner screen develops a bright line running from the center to the right side of the panel.
User reports suggest the hardware issue is linked to the device's hinge mechanism. Some consumers reported that increased tension in the hinge during the opening process caused the internal glass to fracture, resulting in the reported visual artifacts.
Apple has directed affected customers to utilize AppleCare support services for device replacements. While the company stated the issue affects only a small percentage of total units sold, the acknowledgment follows increasing reports from users in various markets, including Australia, where some retail locations have already initiated on-site replacements.
