Apple Agrees to $250 Million Settlement in Siri Lawsuit
Apple has agreed to pay $250 million to settle a class-action lawsuit concerning the marketing of its Siri features. Eligible U.S. iPhone users could receive up to $95.
Apple has agreed to a $250 million settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit over the marketing of its Siri capabilities. The lawsuit was initiated following Apple's June 2024 advertisement of "Apple Intelligence" features, which promised enhanced Siri understanding of personal information and on-screen content.
Plaintiffs accused Apple of false advertising after the company delayed the release of these personalized Siri features in March 2025. While Apple denied all allegations, it has now chosen to settle the case.
The settlement is available to U.S. residents who purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, or iPhone 16 Pro Max between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Each valid claim will receive a minimum of $25 per device.
If the total number of valid claims is lower than anticipated, the payout per device could increase to a maximum of $95. Claimants have until December 21, 2026, to submit their applications, which will require providing a device serial number or Apple account email and phone number for verification.
