Apple Announces HomePod Mini 2, Siri AI Features Delayed
Apple has released the HomePod Mini 2, featuring a new processor capable of supporting future Siri AI features. However, these AI capabilities will not be available at launch. The speaker also sees a price increase.

Apple has announced the new HomePod Mini 2, equipped with a processor intended to power future Siri AI functionalities. These advanced AI features, however, will not be available at the time of the speaker's release.
The device introduces a new "sound glow" feature that synchronizes its LED lights with a song's album art. Additionally, the HomePod Mini 2 can now serve as the default speaker for Mac computers. Users can also pair up to four of the new speakers with the latest Apple TV 4K model to create a surround sound experience.
The HomePod Mini 2 will be available in pink, green, and a new shade of blue, in addition to the existing white and black color options. The new model is priced at $149, representing a $20 increase compared to its predecessor, which is being discontinued. Preorders are scheduled to open on October 13th.
