Apple Debuts AirPods 5 at $129 with Enhanced Noise Cancellation

Apple has launched its latest wireless earbuds, the AirPods 5, which offer enhanced active noise cancellation and improved sound quality. The new model aims to deliver a better listening experience and user features at a lower price point than its predecessor.

The AirPods 5 will be available in stores starting September 18. The base model is priced at $129. An upgraded version with a wireless charging case, extended battery life, and on-stem volume control will retail for $149. Preorders are currently open.

This pricing represents a notable reduction compared to the previous AirPods 4. The older model, launched in 2024, started at $129, but the version with active noise cancellation was priced at $179.

The introduction of the AirPods 5 at a more accessible price point seeks to broaden Apple's market reach in the competitive wireless earbud sector.
