Apple has informed Chinese media that no "Apple Intelligence with Qwen" feature has been launched in mainland China. This statement follows the disappearance of a Chinese-language Mac support guide from Apple's website, which had previously mentioned an integration with Alibaba's Qwen model.
The guide, first appearing on August 8, suggested that Apple Intelligence could work with Alibaba's AI technology. However, Apple customer service stated that they had not received notice of any new project launch related to this integration.
This clarification comes after earlier reports indicated that Qwen would provide AI capabilities for Apple users in China. The conflicting information and the removal of the support guide have created uncertainty regarding Apple's AI strategy and partnerships in the Chinese market.
