Apple HomeView Smart Hub Specs Leaked Ahead of Launch
Apple's upcoming smart home hub, reportedly named HomeView, is expected to be unveiled soon. The device is rumored to feature the A18 chip and come in four color options.
Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its first smart home hub, which sources suggest will be named HomeView. According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the device is slated for an official reveal at the "Welcome Home" event on October 13, with shipments expected to begin in November.
The device's design is said to resemble the iMac G4, featuring a floating screen atop a speaker base. Internally, the HomeView is expected to be powered by Apple's A18 chip. The company will also offer a wall-mounted version, which will be available in deep gray and silver.
The standard model is expected to come in four color options: deep gray, silver, starlight, and pink. Gurman's report indicates that the HomeView will primarily focus on voice interaction, with an AI-enhanced Siri at its core. Users will be able to view the device's display from across the room.
The device will run Apple's proprietary applications and will not directly support App Store apps. However, there's a possibility for users to cast widgets from third-party applications using their iPhone onto the HomeView.
