Apple India records 66% profit increase for fiscal year 2026

Apple India’s financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, show a 66% year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching ₹5,311 crore. Operating revenue grew by 31.4% to ₹1.04 lakh crore, driven primarily by strong demand for iPhones, MacBooks, and iPads.

The company is deepening its footprint in India beyond retail, establishing the country as a major global production hub. iPhone exports from Indian manufacturing facilities surpassed ₹2 lakh crore during the fiscal year. Furthermore, Apple has recently introduced its financial services unit, Apple Pay, in partnership with Axis Bank to expand its ecosystem.

Despite the growth, the firm noted a 28% rise in total expenses, with significant increases in license fees, inventory procurement, and marketing costs. License fees specifically doubled to ₹10,373.7 crore compared to the previous fiscal year.

Looking ahead, Apple has signaled potential supply chain risks. Global shortages in advanced semiconductor manufacturing and memory components are expected to cause constraints, potentially impacting the availability of its flagship hardware devices in India and worldwide in the coming months.
