Apple introduces first MacBook Pro with touchscreen display
Apple has launched a new MacBook Pro featuring a dual-layer tandem OLED panel with touchscreen capabilities, starting at 22,999 yuan.
Apple has officially entered the touchscreen laptop market with its latest MacBook Pro model, which features a dual-layer tandem OLED screen capable of reaching a peak HDR brightness of 2,000 nits. The device starts at 22,999 yuan and marks a significant shift in Apple's hardware strategy for its professional laptop lineup.
While first-party software—including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro—has been optimized for touch interaction at launch, support for major third-party applications remains pending. Apple confirmed that software suites such as Adobe Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, and Microsoft Office are slated for touch-compatible updates later this year.
In the interim, macOS will attempt to bridge the gap by converting touch inputs into standard mouse clicks for applications that have not yet been updated. Industry analysts note that this rollout strategy places the burden of interface adaptation on third-party developers, as the hardware is available to consumers before widespread software support is guaranteed.
