Apple introduces MacBook Pro with touchscreen capability
Apple has unveiled a new MacBook Pro featuring a PROLED XDR display and, for the first time, integrated touchscreen support.
At an event held in Los Angeles, Apple launched its latest MacBook Pro, marking the first time the company has integrated touchscreen technology into its professional laptop line. The device is built around a PROLED XDR display and operates on Apple’s M5 Pro and M5 Max silicon.
In China, the laptop will retail starting at 22,999 yuan. CEO John Ternus highlighted the interface shift, suggesting the touch functionality is intended to provide creators with new methods of interaction. The hardware also boasts a battery life of up to 24 hours.
This release shifts Apple’s long-standing design philosophy regarding its computer interfaces. By bringing touch to its flagship laptop, the company is attempting to further align the operational experience of its macOS ecosystem with the touch-first design of its iPad series.
