Apple iOS 27.2 Limits App Access to Motion Data

Apple's latest iOS 27.2 Beta 2 update includes a new feature allowing users to restrict applications' access to the device's motion data sensors. The update was released on September 23rd.

The new setting, located under "Settings – Privacy & Security – Motion & Fitness – Restrict Motion Data," prevents selected apps from gathering data from the accelerometer and gyroscope. This measure is reportedly aimed at curbing advertisements that are triggered by shaking the phone, a practice common in some regions.
