Apple's latest iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models were officially released for sale in China on September 18. Customers who had pre-ordered the devices began receiving their shipments on the same day.

For the Chinese market, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at 9,999 yuan (approximately $1,370 USD) for the 256GB storage configuration. The iPhone 18 Pro Max with the same storage capacity is priced at 10,999 yuan (approximately $1,510 USD).

The new models are powered by Apple's A20 Pro chip, manufactured using a 2nm process. The company claims significant improvements in CPU and GPU performance, alongside enhanced on-device AI capabilities. Both models feature a new vapor chamber cooling system designed to improve sustained performance.

The camera system has seen substantial upgrades, with the main camera now featuring a 48-megapixel sensor and introducing variable aperture technology. The lens can adjust between f/1.48 and f/4.0 using a six-leaf mechanism, allowing for manual control and developer access via API.

Battery life has been extended, particularly for the Pro Max model, which Apple states can last up to 43 hours. Charging speeds have also been accelerated, with the capability to reach 50% charge in approximately 15 minutes when using a 60W or higher power adapter.

The devices are available in four colors: black, silver, glacier blue, and a new burgundy. The Dynamic Island interface has been redesigned to be more compact and can now display up to three live activities simultaneously.
