Apple iPhone 18 Pro Features Variable Camera Aperture and New Chip
Apple has launched the iPhone 18 Pro, featuring an updated A20 Pro chip and enhanced camera capabilities. The device introduces a variable aperture and improved AI processing.
CUPERTINO, Calif. – Apple has unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro, bringing performance and camera technology upgrades. The new model is powered by the A20 Pro chip, manufactured on a 2-nanometer process.
The A20 Pro features a 6-core CPU, with two performance cores reportedly 20 percent faster, alongside four efficiency cores. A 7-core GPU is said to offer up to 40 percent improved performance and increased bandwidth.
A key camera upgrade is the introduction of a variable aperture, giving users more direct control over image depth of field, a shift from the heavy reliance on computational photography in previous models.
Additionally, the A20 Pro includes a new Neural Engine, Apple's machine learning processor. The company states this integrated unit functions akin to two separate Neural Engines, boosting AI and machine learning tasks.
