Apple Launches AppleCare One in UK, Extends Theft Coverage to iPad and Apple Watch
Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, a new service offering a monthly subscription for extended warranty coverage on multiple devices. Theft and loss protection now includes iPads and Apple Watches.
Apple has launched its AppleCare One service in the United Kingdom, a new offering that bundles extended warranty and protection plans for multiple devices under a single monthly subscription. The company has also expanded its AppleCare+ theft and loss coverage to include iPads and Apple Watches, in addition to iPhones.
The AppleCare One service operates similarly to Apple's existing Apple One bundle subscriptions. In the UK, customers can subscribe to AppleCare One for £16.99 per month, which provides coverage for up to three Apple devices. Each additional device can be covered for an extra £4.99 per month.
The plan offers comprehensive protection for the covered devices. Annually, all devices under the plan share a total of three claims for accidental damage. The theft and loss coverage is capped at a maximum of two claims per year.
Existing AppleCare+ customers can transition to AppleCare One seamlessly, with automatic refunds for any unused portion of their current plan. The coverage also transfers automatically to new devices when old ones are traded in. Devices must be no more than four years old (one year for headphones) and must be linked to an Apple ID to be eligible for coverage.
