Details regarding Apple's upcoming MacBook Neo 2 laptop have surfaced, with insights from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman pointing to significant upgrades. The new model is reportedly set to feature the A19 Pro chip and 12GB of RAM, with an anticipated release in 2027.

The A19 Pro chip is expected to offer a performance boost over its predecessor, the A18 Pro. CPU performance is projected to increase by 10–15%, while GPU performance could see a jump of around 40%. However, the A19 Pro chip in the MacBook Neo 2 will reportedly not be the fully unlocked version; while the iPhone 17 Pro is said to use a version with a six-core GPU, the MacBook Neo 2 will utilize a five-core GPU.

In terms of memory, the MacBook Neo 2 is anticipated to upgrade from the current 8GB to 12GB of RAM. This combination of an upgraded chip and increased RAM is expected to enhance artificial intelligence capabilities, enabling features like more accurate dictation and new customization options for Siri's voice.

Apple also plans to refresh the color palette for the MacBook Neo line to maintain consumer interest. The current model is available in silver, pink, yellow, and blue. Further details on specific new colors or an exact release date have not yet been disclosed.
