Apple Music Icon Reportedly Updated in iOS Beta
Apple Music's familiar red app icon has reportedly been replaced with a black-and-white version in the latest iOS beta. The change may signal a broader brand refresh for the service.
Apple Music's app icon has reportedly been updated to a black-and-white version in the latest iOS 27.2 beta release, according to 9to5Mac. The eighth note within the icon also appears to have a slightly sharper angle compared to the original.
A new Apple Music logo was also spotted last month on the Apple Music Hall website, suggesting the company may be refreshing its app icon to align with a new visual identity.
The updated icon displays a black music note on a white background in light mode, and the inverse in dark mode. Additionally, Apple Music widgets are said to have adopted black backgrounds as part of this visual overhaul.
