Apple Promotes Safari Browser for Mac Users

Apple has launched a campaign on its US website highlighting the advantages of its Safari browser for Mac computers, focusing on battery life, speed, and privacy compared to Chrome.

Apple has initiated a "Switch to Safari" campaign on its U.S. website to encourage the use of its Safari web browser on Mac computers. The new webpage and accompanying videos showcase Safari's benefits when compared to competing browsers, particularly Google Chrome.

The campaign emphasizes that Safari offers Mac users significantly longer battery life for video streaming, up to five hours more than Chrome. According to the site, website loading speeds can be up to 35 percent faster with Safari on frequently visited pages.

Privacy is another key theme. Apple claims that Chrome permits more third-party tracking and enables the sale of user data to advertisers. Safari, in contrast, offers features like Intelligent Tracking Prevention, which limits online tracking and protects users.

Additionally, the campaign highlights other Safari functionalities, such as Distraction Control, which helps remove distracting elements from webpages, and improved performance in web applications. Apple aims to attract users to switch their default browser to Safari on their Mac devices.
