Apple records profit growth in India for FY2026
Apple's India operations reported a 66% rise in net profit to ₹5,311 crore in FY2026, driven by stronger hardware sales and service expansion.

Apple posted robust financial results in India for the fiscal year 2026, with operating revenue climbing 31.4% to ₹1.04 lakh crore. The growth was underpinned by sustained demand for its core hardware products, including iPhones, Macs, and iPads, alongside an increasingly diverse services portfolio.
Net profit for the period reached ₹5,311 crore, a 66% increase year-over-year. However, the expansion was accompanied by a 28% rise in total expenses. Inventory costs remain the company’s largest expenditure, while licensing fees saw a significant increase, more than doubling to ₹10,374 crore.
Strategic focus has shifted toward solidifying India as a key manufacturing hub. iPhone exports from the country surpassed ₹2 lakh crore during the fiscal year. To reduce dependence on hardware sales, Apple is introducing additional services such as Apple Pay and Fitness+ to its local ecosystem.
Looking ahead, the company faces potential headwinds. Ongoing global supply chain constraints, specifically involving memory and chip shortages, may impact product availability in the Indian market as the company works to balance rising local demand with global manufacturing limitations.
