Apple Releases iOS/iPadOS 26.6 Developer Preview Beta 5
Apple has issued the fifth developer preview of iOS/iPadOS 26.6. This release is expected to focus on bug fixes and stability improvements rather than new features.

Apple released the fifth developer preview (Beta 5) of its iOS/iPadOS 26.6 operating system on Thursday, July 14. The update, identified by build number 23G5065a, arrives seven days after the previous beta release.
This new Beta 5 version is not anticipated to introduce significant new functionalities. It is estimated that the primary focus of this update is to address bugs identified in prior builds and enhance overall system stability and security. Apple's development teams are likely already shifting resources towards the development of the next major operating system, iOS 27, as is customary.
Notable features introduced in the iOS 26.6 series thus far include a reminder when the contact blocking limit is reached and a new security framework for the Apple Maps application. These features were incorporated in earlier beta releases.
Apple's developer preview builds are available to users enrolled in the Apple Developer Program. Users can update their devices by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update. Public beta versions are accessible for those registered with the Apple Beta Software Program.
