Apple releases MacBook Pro with touchscreen and M5 chips
Apple has launched a new MacBook Pro lineup featuring the company's first touchscreen PROLED XDR display and updated M5 Pro and M5 Max silicon.
Apple has officially released its latest MacBook Pro series, marking the first time the company has integrated touchscreen capability into its professional laptop line. Featuring a PROLED XDR display, the new models start at 22,999 yuan and are available in both 14-inch and 16-inch sizes.
The hardware is powered by Apple's new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. The company reports that a redesigned thermal architecture allows these processors to maintain high sustained performance within a chassis that is significantly lighter than previous generations—shedding 220 grams on the 14-inch model and 320 grams on the 16-inch version.
Display specifications include a 120Hz variable refresh rate and peak HDR brightness of 2,000 nits. Connectivity options have been updated to include three Thunderbolt 5 ports, alongside HDMI, SDXC card slots, and MagSafe charging.
These models are currently available for purchase with customization options reaching up to 128GB of unified memory and 16TB of storage.
