Apple has released the second public beta version of its iOS 27.2 operating system. The update focuses on enhancing stability and refining existing features.

7 October 2026

Apple has issued the second public beta for its iOS 27.2 operating system. Following the release of a developer preview, this beta version primarily aims to improve functionality and increase overall stability.

The latest beta expands Siri's language support to include French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Group FaceTime calls now also support dual-camera functionality, allowing simultaneous use of front and rear cameras during a call. Devices participating in these calls require iOS 27 or later.

The "Health" application has undergone significant redesigns. A new "Insights" page aggregates daily health data such as sleep and activity. A "Longevity" page analyzes iPhone and Apple Watch data for trend analysis over time. The app also offers assessments for fitness and hearing, with some evaluations utilizing the camera to analyze movement.

Other noted changes include interface adjustments in Apple Podcasts and the addition of personal profiles to the Apple TV app. The TV app also supports the "Multiview" feature for select sports content, enabling up to four simultaneous live streams.

While new user-facing features are limited, this second beta version concentrates on refining existing functionalities like the Health app and FaceTime group calls. Users are advised against installing beta versions on primary devices due to potential issues.
