Apple tests video recording feature within Apple Music
A new 'Selfie Sing' feature in the iOS 27.3 beta allows users to record video while singing along to Apple Music tracks.
Apple has introduced a feature called Selfie Sing in the developer beta of iOS 27.3, integrating video recording directly into its music streaming platform. The tool allows users to sing along with scrolling lyrics while recording themselves via the iPhone's front-facing camera.
Once a recording is complete, users can adjust vocal levels and apply audio effects, including echo and studio-style presets. The videos can then be saved to the device or shared. The feature functions as an extension of the existing Apple Music Sing karaoke capability, which allows for adjustable vocal volume on supported tracks.
Currently, the feature is limited to a curated selection of songs rather than the entire catalog. While users on previous software versions can view the associated song lists, the actual video recording functionality is restricted to those running the 27.3 beta.
