Apple to Announce New Smart Home Hub 'HomeView'
Apple is expected to announce a new smart home hub, dubbed 'HomeView,' on Tuesday. The device reportedly features a display and Siri integration, signaling Apple's renewed push into the smart home market.
Apple is set to unveil a new smart home device named HomeView on Tuesday, according to reports. This Siri-powered hub is expected to feature a display and an A18 chip, aimed at allowing users to control their other smart home devices.
The HomeView will reportedly come in two models: one for countertops and another for wall mounting. This represents Apple's most substantial commitment to the smart home sector to date, following less successful ventures with its HomeKit software framework and HomePod smart speaker.
Alongside the HomeView, Apple is also anticipated to reveal updated versions of its Apple TV set-top box and HomePod mini. Reports also suggest a potential partnership with LG to develop smart locks, thermostats, and doorbells, further solidifying Apple's strategy in the connected home space.
