Apple unveils new phones, watches, and AirPods with AI focus
Apple has launched its new iPhone 18 series, Duo foldable phone, AirPods 5, and Apple Watch Series 12 & Ultra 4. The devices emphasize new AI capabilities designed to enhance the user experience.

Apple unveiled its latest iPhone 18 series, Duo foldable phone, AirPods 5, and Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 on Wednesday. The company positioned these devices as personal intelligent hubs, with a significant focus on artificial intelligence.
The core of the new product line features an AI-enhanced Siri, powered by Apple Intelligence. This allows Siri to deeply integrate with users' messages, emails, and photos, leveraging device context and even interacting with on-screen content. New camera features for the phones include AI-driven automatic capture when subjects are posing and enhanced editing tools.
Apple highlighted upgraded chips designed to boost on-device AI processing. The new A20 Pro chips, for instance, include dual neural engine accelerators, doubling the computational power for local AI models. The AirPods 5 offer improved active noise cancellation and more accurate voice recognition.
The Apple Watch models introduce new audio intelligence features, capable of recognizing sounds like alarms and doorbells. The Health app has also been updated with AI to provide personalized insights from health data and analyze workout movements via the phone's camera. Apple emphasized privacy, noting that certain AI functions operate within a secure enclave on the device's chip.
