Apple Updates Invites App with Enhanced Sharing and Image Features

Apple has updated its event invitation application, Invites, to version 1.12.0, introducing enhancements to photo sharing, background generation, and the event participation process.

The update significantly improves the shared albums feature, now supporting full-resolution photo sharing. This allows for higher quality images to be shared, and any recipient with a link can join and upload their own photos to the event, regardless of their device.

Additionally, the app's Image Playground feature has been expanded to include the ability to generate photorealistic backgrounds. Users can create custom backgrounds in various styles to better match the theme and atmosphere of their invitations.

The email verification process has also been streamlined. Guests no longer need to enter verification codes; they can join an event simply by clicking a link sent to their email inbox, lowering the barrier to participation.

The update also includes bug fixes and performance improvements. Creating events requires a subscription to iCloud+ (starting at 50GB), but recipients can RSVP for free on any device.
