Apple's First Foldable iPhone Duo Supports MagSafe Charging
Apple's new foldable iPhone Duo supports MagSafe charging up to 15W. The device features a dual battery system and compatibility with multiple wireless charging standards.
Apple has introduced its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, which includes support for MagSafe charging. For the Chinese market, official specifications indicate a maximum MagSafe charging power of 15 watts, with the charging accessories sold separately.
The iPhone Duo is equipped with a dual battery system, a new feature for Apple's iPhone lineup. According to the company, the device houses two internal lithium-ion batteries and supports MagSafe, Qi2, and Qi wireless charging standards. Battery life for video playback is rated up to 31 hours on the internal display and up to 44 hours on the external display.
In terms of charging capabilities, the iPhone Duo supports fast charging with a 60W or higher power adapter, achieving approximately 50% battery charge in about 20 minutes. Using MagSafe charging, a 50% charge can be reached in approximately 30 minutes.
However, a review of Apple's official website in China does not clearly state the 30-minute charging figure for MagSafe to reach 50% battery, instead mentioning only support for up to 15W charging. This discrepancy might point to regional variations or further clarifications on specifications.
