The device resembles a passport when folded and unfurls to reveal an inner display akin to a small tablet. While foldable phones have been available for years, Apple suggests it has refined the design compared to competitors.

The primary use case for the Duo appears to be video consumption. The larger screen enhances the viewing experience for movies and shows, and the split-screen capability is beneficial for multitasking. The device also offers a more comfortable experience for reading e-books or browsing websites compared to a standard smartphone.
