Apple's Market Value Surpasses $5 Trillion at Closing
Apple's market capitalization exceeded $5 trillion in closing price for the first time, making it the second company globally to reach this milestone. The achievement occurred on a day when many other tech stocks declined.
Apple's market value surpassed $5 trillion in closing price on October 14, marking a significant financial milestone. This achievement positions Apple as the second company worldwide to reach this valuation, following Nvidia.
The event took place during a trading session where many major technology companies experienced stock declines. Companies such as Oracle, Meta, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google saw their share prices fall, while Apple's stock moved upward.
Earlier in September, Apple had briefly touched a market capitalization of over $5 trillion during intraday trading but closed below that mark. Following the latest close, Apple's market value stood at approximately $5.01 trillion.
Apple is scheduled to release its fourth-quarter financial results on November 2. These results are expected to provide insight into the company's strategies for managing rising component costs and recent price adjustments on its hardware products. Since John Ternus became CEO on September 1, Apple's stock price has increased by approximately 8.2%.
