Applied Quantum Software Joins IBM Quantum Network
Quantum software firm Applied Quantum Software has joined the IBM Quantum Network startup program. The company will make its AQS FabriQ platform accessible via IBM's quantum computing resources.
San Mateo, Calif. – Applied Quantum Software (AQS), a quantum software company, has joined the IBM Quantum Network startup program. The IBM Quantum Network comprises over 325 organizations focused on advancing quantum computing and exploring its applications.
AQS specializes in developing software algorithms optimized for near-term quantum computers, with a particular focus on the finance industry. Its AQS FabriQ platform provides tools for data integration, quantum computer and simulator integration, and benchmarking. The platform supports the creation and deployment of native quantum and quantum-inspired software alongside classical counterparts.
"A recent study by McKinsey indicates that quantum computing is expected to deliver roughly half a trillion dollars in economic value to the finance sector by 2035," said Tom Finke, founder of Applied Quantum Software. "By engaging directly with leading quantum computing providers like IBM, and empowering customers through AQS FabriQ, we aim to accelerate this timeline."
As part of the IBM Quantum Network, AQS clients will gain access to IBM's Heron and Nighthawk quantum processing units (QPUs), the Qiskit software development kit, and other resources available through IBM's quantum cloud.
