ARCFOX Alpha T5 Receives OTA Update for Enhanced Connectivity and Driving Assistance

ARCFOX Alpha T5 electric vehicles are receiving a new OTA update that adds features like Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar, alongside improvements to driving assistance systems.

2 October 2026

Chinese automaker ARCFOX, part of the BAIC Group, has announced a significant OTA (Over-The-Air) update for its Alpha T5 model. The update introduces several new functionalities and enhancements, focusing on smartphone connectivity and advanced driving assistance.

The update expands the vehicle's smartphone integration capabilities. While all versions now support CarLink, the higher-tier "Yuanjing" trim levels gain access to Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar. This integration aims to provide a more seamless user experience between the driver's mobile device and the car's infotainment system.

In addition to connectivity, the "Yuanjing" models are equipped with an updated "End-to-End 4.0" driving assistance model. ARCFOX states this AI-driven system is trained on extensive real-world driving data, designed to improve the vehicle's situational awareness and decision-making. This is expected to result in smoother performance during complex scenarios like navigating narrow roads, parking, and lane changes.

The update also brings parking assistance upgrades to other trims. The "Ruixiang" variant receives APA (Automated Parking Assist) for exiting parking spots and RPA (Remote Parking Assist), allowing users to maneuver the vehicle into or out of tight spaces remotely via smartphone. Furthermore, a new HUD (Head-Up Display) feature providing traffic light countdown information is now available across all models, aiming to enhance driver safety by reducing the need to look away from the road.
