Archer secures 40 million dollar drilling contract with Vista in Argentina
Archer has signed a two-year drilling services agreement with Vista in the Vaca Muerta basin. The contract is valued at up to 40 million dollars including optional extensions.
Drilling services provider Archer has expanded its operations in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta shale play after securing a new contract with energy producer Vista. The agreement spans two years, with an option to extend for an additional year.
Archer will deploy its DLS-156 drilling rig to support Vista’s exploration and production activities in the region. The deal is estimated to generate between 35 and 40 million dollars in revenue over the full potential term.
This contract strengthens Archer’s footprint in one of the world’s key unconventional resource basins. The move aligns with the company’s objective to grow its client base and operational capacity within the Argentine energy market.
