Arcoma AB posts strong sales growth in Q3
Arcoma AB's third-quarter 2022 results revealed a significant sales increase of 31% compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. The company's total revenue rose to SEK 30,355,000 (SEK 23,169,000). Simultaneously, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) improved substantially, reaching SEK 3,205,000, a turnaround from SEK -1,266,000 in the prior year's quarter. Net profit for the period was SEK 1,452,000, compared to a loss of SEK 3,088,000.
During Q3, the company secured notable orders, including an order for eight systems from Thailand and a SEK 10 million tender in the Czech Republic. CEO Lars Lindström noted that sales in Europe experienced very strong growth, up 73% year-over-year. While order intake from the USA was somewhat lower than in the first half of 2022, the cumulative sales for 2022 showed a 19% increase, with demand expected to remain high.
The company's gross margin was 41% (35%), an improvement from the previous year, attributed to a favorable regional sales distribution and positive currency effects. A positive currency impact also contributed SEK 900,000 to the financial result. Lindström commented that the market has reopened following the pandemic, and Arcoma sees increased business opportunities.
