Arevon Marks 10 Years of Operations at Moapa Solar Project

Arevon Energy is marking ten years of operations at its Moapa Solar Project, located on the Moapa River Indian Reservation in Clark County, Nevada. The 344-megawatt (MWdc) solar facility commenced commercial operations in 2016 and has since provided significant economic and environmental benefits.

Annually, the project generates enough electricity to power more than 53,000 homes and has avoided over 325,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. The solar generation also saves approximately 6.9 billion gallons of water per year compared to traditional energy sources. Additionally, the Moapa Solar Project provides ongoing payments to the Moapa Band of Paiutes and contributes to the local community through property taxes.

Arevon and the Moapa Band of Paiutes marked the anniversary with a community celebration on the Reservation. The event brought together tribal members, elected officials, and company representatives to commemorate the project's decade of operation and the partnership between the tribe and Arevon.

Arevon has three additional projects under development in Nevada that will expand its solar and energy storage presence. These include the Moapa Energy Project, Eagle Shadow Mountain Energy Project, and Yahthumb Energy Project, which will add battery storage capacity and further strengthen the region's electric grid.
