Arno Walter Appointed Nordnet's Country Manager for Germany

Nordnet, the Nordic digital savings and investment platform, has announced management changes for its German operations. Markus Pertlwieser is departing his role as Country Manager for Germany to pursue a new opportunity outside the company.

Arno Walter will take over as interim Country Manager effective August 1, for a period of up to two years. Walter brings substantial experience from the German financial industry, having previously served as CEO of Comdirect, a prominent digital banking and investment services platform, and held executive roles within Commerzbank. He has also been advising Nordnet in preparation for its German market entry.

"I would like to extend a big thank you to Markus for his important contributions and wish him the best of luck in his new role," said Rasmus Järborg, CEO of Nordnet. "At the same time, I am very pleased to welcome Arno Walter. I know that his broad experience and strong leadership make him the right person to take over from Markus during this exciting phase."

Nordnet is scheduled to launch its operations in Germany during the latter half of 2026. The company aims to establish its digital savings and investment platform in the German market, leveraging its 30 years of experience in the Nordic region.
