Pfronstetten-Aichelau, Germany – Arnold NextG GmbH and Robert Bosch Automotive Steering GmbH have announced a cooperation agreement focused on advancing Steer-by-Wire technology towards series production. The partnership, formalized on June 12, 2023, intends to pool the development expertise of both companies to expedite the market introduction of these systems.
Arnold NextG specializes in multi-redundant Drive-by-Wire systems designed for autonomous driving applications in small and micro-series production. The company brings over 20 years of experience in developing street-legal Drive-by-Wire technology, offering unique expertise for retrofitting solutions across all By-Wire applications. The inherent redundancy in Arnold NextG's technology is noted for potentially facilitating faster and more efficient system approvals from regulatory bodies for public road use.
As a leading global provider of electric steering systems, Bosch has recognized the potential of Steer-by-Wire technology early on and is actively pursuing its development.
