Arthur J. Gallagher appoints new CEO for benefits and HR consulting unit
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has named Tom Doyle as the new CEO of its Benefits & HR Consulting division, effective January 1, 2027. Doyle will succeed Bill Ziebell, who is retiring from the executive role.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced a leadership transition within its Benefits & HR Consulting division, naming current President Tom Doyle as CEO, effective January 1, 2027. Doyle succeeds William F. "Bill" Ziebell, who will step down from the top executive post at the end of 2026.
Ziebell, who has spent 26 years with the firm, will transition to the role of Chairman of the division on December 31, 2026. This shift allows the firm to retain his experience and guidance while bringing in new leadership to oversee daily operations.
J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., Chairman and CEO of the parent company, stated that the transition is intended to maintain the division's growth trajectory and cultural continuity. The move comes as the global brokerage seeks to strengthen its position in the competitive HR consulting market.
