Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) Derry~Londonderry is set to launch a new summer exhibition by artist Christopher Steenson titled All I see is the present. The exhibition opens on the summer solstice weekend, Friday, June 19, 2026.

Steenson's exhibition integrates sound, photography, installation, and archival materials to investigate how moments from prehistory can serve as a gateway to the present. This showcase marks the initial phase of his long-term research into the prehistoric past of the island of Ireland.

Christopher Steenson's practice spans sound, lens-based media, text, and digital systems. He bridges historical and speculative narratives to interrogate the politics of time, environment, and non-human relations, aiming to create work that allows one to 'listen across tenses'.

A conversation between Steenson and historian Dr. Brian Lacey, moderated by CCA Director Catherine Hemelryk, is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026. The exhibition will remain open to the public until Saturday, September 12, 2026.
