Artist Sells Taylor Swift Wedding Trash for $31
New York-based artist Justin Gignac collected and sold garbage he claimed originated from the vicinity of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding celebration.

New York artist Justin Gignac has capitalized on the public's intense interest surrounding the reported wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce with an unusual business venture. Gignac collected trash from the vicinity of Madison Square Garden, reportedly including cigarette butts, lollipop remnants, and even an ovulation test, while dressed in a tuxedo and using a garbage grabber.
Packaged neatly in plastic cases and marketed as "New York City Garbage" and "Not Invited Edition (Taylor & Travis' Wedding)", these items were offered for sale online. Each package was priced at $25 plus $10 for shipping, totaling approximately $31 per shipment.
Gignac reported that all items sold out, generating a total revenue of $1,250 (approximately €1,095). He stated that buyers, particularly Swift's fanbase, were eager to own a piece of the event, even if indirectly.
Speaking to AFP, Gignac claimed his motivation was not solely profit but rather to "capture cultural moments in New York," which he considered the event to be.
