Ascletis to Present Obesity Drug Study Data at ObesityWeek 2026

Ascletis Pharma, a biotechnology firm based in Hong Kong, is scheduled to present research findings regarding its obesity therapeutic candidates, ASC48 and ASC37, at the ObesityWeek 2026 conference in Washington, D.C., held from November 14 to 17. The assets include an oral small molecule GIPR agonist and a long-acting triple peptide agonist.

The presentations will cover preclinical in vitro and in vivo data. The company reports that in studies involving non-human primates, ASC37 demonstrated a half-life six times longer than retatrutide, alongside weight loss outcomes in diet-induced obese mouse models.

CEO Jinzi Jason Wu stated that the findings underscore the firm's ongoing efforts to advance its portfolio for metabolic diseases. Ascletis utilizes internal technologies, including AI-assisted structure-based drug discovery, to develop oral and injectable treatments for chronic weight management.
