ASES Announces Full Conference Schedule for SOLAR 2026 in Austin

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) announced the full conference program for its national conference, SOLAR 2026, taking place October 19–21 at the Palmer Events Center in Austin, Texas. This year's conference is held in partnership with the Texas Solar Energy Society (TXSES), which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Under the theme "Solar for All, Y'all," the three-day conference will focus on solar innovations, strategies, and actions. Key themes include advancing access, expanding education, and addressing new challenges such as the energy demands of data centers, the impact of artificial intelligence, and accelerating extreme weather events.

Keynote speakers include author Bill McKibben, who will discuss lessons learned from Texas's rapid solar growth. The program also features plenary panels examining the energy demands of data centers and how Texas is integrating supply and demand at scale. Attendees can expect oral presentation sessions and poster sessions covering topics from grid modernization and agrivoltaics to solar education.

The conference agenda includes NABCEP-accredited courses on PV technology and energy storage, alongside networking events and awards luncheons. TXSES will also celebrate its 50th anniversary during the event. The Palmer Events Center, the venue, is LEED Gold certified and operates on 100% renewable energy.
