Chinese technology news outlet IT Home has reported on the availability of the Asgard V7 SSD in the Chinese market. The new SSD utilizes an M.2 interface with NVMe protocol, boasting a stated maximum sequential read speed of 7000 megabytes per second.
Pricing for the drive was also revealed. The 1TB version is set at 999 yuan (approximately $138 USD), while the 2TB version is priced at 1999 yuan (approximately $276 USD). The product comes with a five-year warranty.
The Asgard V7 SSD employs the PCIe 4.0 interface standard. It achieves sequential read speeds of up to 7000MB/s and sequential write speeds of 6500MB/s. The drive has a total terabytes written (TBW) rating of 640TB and a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 1.5 million hours.
The drive features a copper foil-based heat dissipation design with a cooling area of approximately 3.8 square centimeters. The product is currently available for purchase through the JD.com e-commerce platform.
