Ashley Garrett has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF). Garrett brings nearly 30 years of experience in child safety advocacy.
Jacksonville, Fla. – Ashley Garrett has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF), the organization announced July 22, 2026. Garrett, who previously served as MBF's Vice President of Prevention Education, has nearly 30 years of experience dedicated to child safety.
In her new role, Garrett will lead the foundation's strategic direction, aiming to grow its mission and expand partnerships. Her focus will be on driving organizational sustainability and extending MBF's reach into schools and communities nationally and internationally. Garrett's extensive background spans the nonprofit, federal, and international sectors.
Before joining MBF, Garrett led ICF's human trafficking practice and was the founding director of the National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She has expertise in developing and managing programs for government and non-profit organizations in over 20 countries.
MBF provides evidence-based prevention education programs designed to equip children, families, and educators to prevent, recognize, and respond to abuse, bullying, and digital dangers. Over the past 29 years, MBF has reached 22 million children across 42 states and seven countries.
