ASML begins construction of new industrial park in Netherlands

ASML has officially broken ground on a significant new industrial park in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The project, named BIC North, is set to substantially expand the company's footprint and support its growing manufacturing capacity amidst rising global demand for semiconductor equipment.

The new park will form a "triple-pronged" support system alongside ASML's existing headquarters and industrial sites, fostering innovation, manufacturing, and corporate activities in the Bretteport area. Upon final completion, the campus will span approximately 350,000 square meters and has the potential to create up to 20,000 jobs.

The first phase of construction is slated for completion in 2029 and will initially accommodate at least 3,000 employees. A key feature of the BIC North park is its modernized process factory, drawing inspiration from the automotive and aerospace industries to streamline material and workflow processes while maintaining high quality standards.

This expansion addresses the increasing demand for ASML's advanced lithography systems, which are critical components in the production of leading-edge microchips. The company's technology is essential for chipmakers worldwide seeking to produce more powerful and efficient processors.
