ASML Raises 2026 Financial Targets Amid Strong AI Chip Demand

ASML Holding N.V. announced a revised financial target for 2026, anticipating higher net sales and gross margin than previously projected. The upgrade reflects the ongoing surge in demand for sophisticated semiconductor manufacturing equipment, primarily fueled by the burgeoning artificial intelligence sector.

The Dutch company, a critical supplier to chipmakers like TSMC and Intel, has seen its business benefit significantly from the global race to develop more powerful AI hardware. This includes demand for its extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems, essential for producing the most advanced logic and memory chips.

ASML's adjusted outlook suggests a stronger-than-anticipated market for its high-end machinery. The company now forecasts net sales in the range of €36 billion to €40 billion for 2026, with a gross margin between 50% and 52%. This represents an upward revision from its previous guidance issued in January.

The semiconductor industry, particularly the segment serving AI development, continues to experience robust growth. ASML's performance is a key indicator for the health and supply chain dynamics of advanced chip manufacturing worldwide.
