ASML, the world's largest manufacturer of semiconductor equipment, has decided to uniformly increase the prices of spare parts for its lithography machines supplied to the South Korean market by 10%. This price adjustment will apply to products delivered starting January 2027 and covers all spare parts for both Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) and Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) lithography machines.

The price hike was finalized after negotiations between ASML's Korean subsidiary and the procurement departments of major customers, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. The increase affects both regularly purchased consumables and critical components requiring replacement due to malfunction or performance degradation. This across-the-board price adjustment for all spare parts is an uncommon move, attributed to rising material costs and ASML's objective to enhance profitability.

ASML's revenue from after-sales services, spare parts, and upgrades for installed equipment reached €8.19 billion in 2025, accounting for 25% of the company's total revenue. This business segment is projected to grow by over 30% this year. ASML is also reportedly in discussions with key clients regarding price increases for new equipment.

Industry sources suggest that the acceptance of ASML's comprehensive price increase by Samsung and SK Hynix will likely embolden other equipment and component suppliers to seek their own price adjustments.
