Aspo appoints Rolf Jansson as new CEO
Aspo has named VR Group CEO Rolf Jansson as its new chief executive, replacing the retiring Aki Ojanen. Jansson is expected to assume the position by October.

Aspo’s board of directors has selected Rolf Jansson to serve as the group's new CEO. Jansson, who currently leads VR Group, is slated to begin his tenure no later than the start of October. He succeeds current CEO Aki Ojanen, who is retiring at age 60.
Jansson brings a background in logistics, corporate development, and finance to the conglomerate. His prior professional experience includes a tenure as an executive director at Nordea Corporate Finance and various roles within VR Group, including leadership at VR Transpoint. He holds degrees in both engineering and economics.
According to Aspo board chairman Gustav Nyberg, the transition is the result of a formal recruitment process. The company stated that the objective remains the continued development of its business operations, which currently include logistics and industrial services. Jansson noted his intent to focus on the holistic development of the company's portfolio as the business navigates the post-pandemic economic landscape.
