Helsinki – Aspo Oyj announced on October 1, 2015, a change in the ownership structure of the company's own shares. The change resulted from the merger of Aspo Management Oy, a wholly-owned subsidiary, into its parent company, Aspo Plc. The merger was completed on September 30, 2015.

As a consequence of the merger, 477,612 Aspo Plc own shares previously held by Aspo Management Oy have transferred to the direct ownership of Aspo Plc. Following this corporate transaction, Aspo Plc holds a total of 478,599 of its own shares.
