ASRock Rack, a provider of server infrastructure solutions, has revealed its new DMRD16-2L+ motherboard, which is engineered to support Intel's next-generation "Diamond Rapids" Xeon processors. The unveiling took place at the 2026 OCP Global Summit, positioning the board for enterprise-grade server applications.

The motherboard features support for 16-channel DDR5 memory with a 1DPC configuration, capable of handling up to 12800MT/s MRDIMM modules. For expansion and connectivity, it includes 16 MCIO 8i interfaces that support PCIe Gen6 and CXL Gen3 standards. An M.2 slot with PCIe Gen5 x4 speeds is also provided for boot drive installation.

Connectivity options on the DMRD16-2L+ include two integrated 1GbE network ports. System management is handled by an onboard ASPEED AST2700 BMC SoC, which offers a dedicated Gigabit management port and VGA video output. Additional I/O ports, such as USB and COM, are also present.

The introduction of the DMRD16-2L+ motherboard signals ASRock Rack's preparation for the increased performance demands of upcoming server hardware. It aims to provide robust capabilities for data centers requiring advanced processing and connectivity.
