ASSA ABLOY Acquires Australian Gate Hardware Maker D&D Technologies
ASSA ABLOY, a global leader in access solutions, has acquired D&D Technologies, an Australian manufacturer of gate hardware. The acquisition is expected to expand ASSA ABLOY's product portfolio.
Global access solutions provider ASSA ABLOY has acquired D&D Technologies, an Australian company specializing in gate hardware solutions. The acquisition aims to bolster ASSA ABLOY's existing product offerings and strengthen its market position.
D&D Technologies, established in the late 1980s, is known internationally for its innovative gate latches and locks, particularly the MagnaLatch® magnetic safety latch designed for child safety around swimming pools. The company also manufactures hinges and other gate hardware.
"This strategic acquisition will broaden ASSA ABLOY’s product portfolio, market verticals and add strategic growth opportunities in global markets," said Michael Avis, SVP and Head of ASSA ABLOY Australia. He added that the company sees shared values in innovation, safety, and security.
